Asemi Co.’s Matsushiro-yaki cup brings together a 400-year-old Japanese pottery tradition with a clean and timeless contemporary form.

Each cup is carefully handcrafted using traditional techniques and finished with a glaze made from 100% natural ingredients. One of its most distinctive features is the beautiful dripping glaze, which flows differently across every piece during the firing process.

As a result, no two cups look exactly alike. Variations in the glaze pattern, tone and surface give each piece its own individual character while preserving the understated simplicity of Asemi Co.’s signature design.

Designed for tea, coffee and other everyday drinks, this cup offers a refined balance of traditional Japanese craftsmanship, natural materials and modern design.

Care Information

Hand wash recommended to preserve the surface and glaze.

Avoid sudden or extreme temperature changes, as these may cause cracking or damage to the ceramic.

Do not use abrasive sponges or harsh cleaning products.

Due to the handmade production process and naturally flowing glaze, variations in colour, glaze pattern, texture and finish are to be expected. Each cup will have its own unique appearance, and these differences are not considered defects.
